A little bit cabinet, a little bit RFID

How does a 2-bin Kanban System Work?

1 It’s all in the name.

The system is comprised of two bins with the same inventory item.

Two bins within the cabinet allow you to keep inventory items secure
2 Tag the Bins

Both bins are tagged with an RFID EPC.

Tagged bins help you to keep track of everyday consumables that you don't want to tag individually
3 Start Accessing Inventory

Approved hospital staff take inventory from the first bin until it is empty.

Access Pass allow you to lock up inventory that you want to keep safe
4 Remove and track

Remove the empty bin and place it on the RFID Surface Read Point, which then alerts the appropriate individual that replenishment of that particular inventory item is needed.

To track the items that have been used, place the 2-bin kanban bin on the RFID Surface Read Point
5 Don't Worry

While that item is being restocked, there is enough on-hand in the second bin to accommodate inventory needs.

The Kanban Security Cabinet can track masks, gloves, and other consumables
